We recieved word today of a battle near Queenston Heights when the American Forces attempted to cross the Niagara River and establish a foothold on British soil on 13 October (1812). According to the news we received, the British forces were victorious in driving back the Americans, but at a great cost, Major General Issac Brock was killed during the action.
The long 11 kilometer march from Fort George to Queenston Heights
Sorry, the marching doesn't start until about 2:30
Did you mean FORT GEORGE? It is much more than 11 km from Fort Erie to Queenstown.
