American Duchess for Men?!

In the event that you missed the exciting announcement, American Duchess will be manufacturing shoes for MEN soon! 

Lauren asked if she could have our acting Third Lieutenant and new Captain to pose in order to promote said shoes and they did so gladly! 

As you likely already know, American Duchess is already well known for making a variety of amazing period shoes and boots for ladies. The first run of their men’s footwear is said to be a latchet shoe, a pump and a hessian boot! Everything a fashionable regency gent could ever need.

As you can see, it was another year of beautiful submissions from our friends and readers! We'd like to thank all of those who contributed to the 2018 packet. We are so pleased and honored by the interest you all showed and by the submitted pieces themselves. Without you, the mail packet project would be woefully empty. 

New Signal Flag Demonstration

Bring your spyglasses to the Jane Austen Fest July 13-15th 2018 so you can try your hand at sending and receiving messages ship to ship via period signal flags! This awesome new demo will be located near the Acasta naval camp all weekend. These images offer a sneak peek into the play-testing of the demonstration... we hope to see you there!

My 14 year-old daughter flew such vital signals as 'You are gross', 'You look like horse' and the ever popular 'I might mistake you for lizard'.
